If you grew up like me, you were taught to portray perfection: to keep the hard stuff to yourself, to keep your ducks in a row, to always be flawless.
I remember telling people "I don't cry" like it was a badge of honor, when really all it meant was that i would rather explode than let anyone see the real me.
Eventually I learned that perfection isn't attainable, and that people will love and accept the real you (flaws and all). I think we will all be better off if we learn to share our struggles and to really do life together.
So what's going on with you??
I've created a questionnaire below. If you would like to be featured here... because you have something to share, or because you need advice, or because you want to be known.. fill it out. Please also attach a photo or two to use! Most features choose a photo of them that doesn't include their face or pictures that have a special meaning for them (think flowers and/or landscapes).
A reminder to readers: only kindness & encouragement will be accepted here. Chosen submissions will be featured both here and on social media!
